Synopsis[]

Paula promises to take care of the neighbors cat, but it runs away.

Plot[]

Paula offers to watch her neighbors', the Peabodys, cat Alexandre. She hopes that by doing so, she can coax the Peabodys into being more social with the neighborhood. One day, she asks Brendon to take on the responsibility for her, offering to him that doing so may prove to her that he is responsible enough to care for a dog. Brendon goes to the Peabody's home, taking his camera with him, so he may document the experience. After feeding the cat and sifting its litter, Brendon opens the door and points the camera out, as he offers up some narration on the events. While the door hangs open, Alexandre escapes leading Brendon to panic, as he and Paula search for the cat. Brendon and Paula are unsuccessful, and Brendon continues to search for the next few days, after enlisting Jason and Melissa's help. As they are starting to give up hope on finding Alexandre, the cat walks up to Melissa and Brendon, looking rather distressed. Melissa cautions Brendon that the cat does not seem normal, but Brendon ignores her advice and is attacked by Alexandre. Brendon and Paula take Alexandre to the local vet, who informs them that the cat is most likely rabid and advises Paula to take Brendon to the doctor immediatly. When the Peabody's return, they are very distressed by the situation with Alexandre, and go into reclusion after he is put to sleep. Paula struggles to make it up to them, ultimately deciding to foot the bill for a funeral service at the local pet cemetery. However, this does not help Paula either, as she runs into the Peabody's car later on.
